AECON/GRANDLINQ

Various locations around Kitchener and Waterloo had the surface course asphalt milled between 25-50 mm to expose the binder course. There were a prevalent amount of transverse cracking in the exposed pavement structure. Infrared technology was requested by the Geo-technical Engineer to ‘seal’ the transverse cracks on the binder course to prevent reflective cracking that would occur on the newly placed surface course asphalt.
